What are aroma beads?

Aroma beads are small, clear, and versatile plastic beads that can be easily shaped and decorated for custom car air fresheners or placed in sachet bags for use in small spaces like cars, closets, drawers, luggage, and offices. While many different aroma beads are available on the market, not all are created equal. Our prime premium grade unscented aroma beads have been rigorously tested and are specifically designed to absorb up to 30% of their weight in fragrance oil. Trust in our product when paired with our carefully selected fragrance oils, as each oil is tested individually to ensure maximum absorption in under 5 days. 

Can I use any fragrance oil to soak in aroma beads?

Not every fragrance oil is suitable for soaking in aroma beads. At our company, we take the time to personally test each fragrance oil to guarantee that it will be fully absorbed within a maximum of five days. However, it's important to note absorption time may vary depending on the specific fragrance and climate temperature. This variation is due to varying density of the raw materials used in each oil. Rest assured, Stay Fresh with Peanut premium quality fragrance oils undergo rigourous testing to ensure they are compatible with our high-quality, unscented aroma beads. It's worth mentioning that there is a wide range of fragrance oils and aroma beads available in the market. If you're uncertain about compatibility, we recommend reaching out to your supplier for clarification regarding the compatibility of their products with aroma beads.

Do I need to air out the aroma beads that smell like vinegar?

Whether or not to air out aroma beads is a matter of personal preference. Each individual's sense of smell is unique, and while some may not detect any scent, others may find it noticeable. At Stay Fresh with Peanut, we do not air them out, and can confirm that we do not experience any vinegar-like odor after the process of adding and absorbing the fragrance oil.

How much fragrance can I soak in aroma beads?

We have thoroughly tested and verified all  of our premium quality fragrance oils to determine the maximum amount of ounces that should be added to aroma beads. This information can be found on our website under each fragrance product tab, and we are currently updating our fragrance oil bottle labels to provide quick reference for this ratio. It is important to note that ratio may vary for each fragrance oil, so we recommend always confirming this first. Check with your supplier if you are not using our fragrance oil. 

For the majority of our fragrances, the recommended maximum ratio is 8 ounces of aroma beads to 2 ounces of fragrance oil by weight (not volume). By shaking the beads vigorously a minimum of 3 times a day in a room temperature of >70F, both of our aroma beads and fragrance oil will completely absorb within 5 days or sooner.

How long with the aroma beads hold the scent?

 The duration of scent strength with aroma beads can vary depending on the fragrance and person. Scents are very subjective some might thiink it's too strong or too light. Everyone's sense of smell is different so keep in mind it's an air freshener, generally we recommmend to say 2-4 weeks. We have many fragrances that can last much longer some even a couple of months.

It's worth mentioning that our sense of smell can become accustomed to certain scents over time. This might lead to the perception that the air freshener lost it's scent more quickly than it actually has. However guests in your car or home, who are not accustomed to the fragrance, may still be able to detect the scent. If you feel that the scent of your handmade product has faded too quickly, it's a good idea to ask someone else to smell it and see if they can still detect the fragrance. Keep in mind that there can be various factors that contribute to the scent not lasting as long as expected. 

If you have followed all the recommended steps and still experience this issue, it is advisable to reach out to your supplier for assistance. They may be able to provide further guidance and help troubleshoot any potential issues.
